Hello and welcome to another exciting school year. This is my 24th year here in the Menomonee Falls District and I am looking forward to working with all of you.

EDUCATION
I received my B.S. from Concordia University-Wisconsin. I also received my Master's Degree from Mt. Mary College in 2003.

CLASSES I TEACH
I am beginning my 8th year teaching at Riverside. I've taught 2nd grade for 7 years and now am teaching 3rd grade!!!!  I come to Riverside having taught 13 years at Valley View teaching 3rd grade and 4 years teaching 4th grade at Ben Franklin.

Every day we work on reading, writing, and math.
For reading, students read with partners, independently, with small groups and with the teacher.  We read for an hour a day, plus it is very important that students read for homework daily.  For writing, we use a workshop approach.  Students write about topics of their choosing and the teachers conference with them as they work, working on strategies to improve their writing.  For math, we use Bridges.  We work on many different types of problems through out the year.  Third graders are very busy learning and having fun all day!
